Single-player experiences are on the rise again in the gaming industry. A new study conducted by MIDiA Research shed light on the gaming preferences of different age groups. According to this, the game world has started to change again.

In the survey of 9 thousand gamers from nine countries, it was seen that players between the ages of 16-24 prefer online multiplayer and coop games. However, gamers aged 35 and above preferred single-player games with a high preference.

The research is actually surprising considering that gamers in their 30s or older grew up with multiplayer games in their youth. This age group’s low interest in coop games is notable given their gaming experience.

Regardless of age, 53 percent of respondents said they prefer single-player games. This shows that single-player games are regaining popularity across all age groups.
